Cincinnati's Low Home-Ownership Rate

Cincinnati's owner-occupancy rate is less than 40 percent and is well below the national average.
"Fewer than 40 percent of Cincinnati's housing units are owner-occupied, well below the national average of 66.2 percent or the state average of 69.1 percent. Among Ohio's largest cities, Cleveland and Columbus had owner-occupancy rates nearing 50 percent... Low home-ownership rates often mean that residents have little stake in the community and feel left out of local economic benefits..."
