Brooklyn's Warehouse Roof Garden

21 August 2009 - 7:00am

This video from Reuters looks at a new rooftop garden in Brooklyn. Covering 6,000 square feet, the flourishing garden provides fresh produce to local restaurants.

The project is seen as a pilot, and organizers hope to expand the idea to other spaces in the dense city.

"A rooftop farm in Brooklyn, N.Y., is commercially growing fruits and vegetables. Area restaurants are flocking to the farm, which cost $60,000 to build."
