Ann Mullins and Mark Johnson are not afraid of red tape and politics. An interview with two landscape architects from Denver, CO.
"[I]t was their shared desire to shape the landscape and change the nature of landscape architecture that led them to Denver, Colo., where they created their firm, Civitas. Famous for their tendency to unflinchingly (and successfully) fight their way through political logjams, Ann and Mark have been involved with landscape design in a variety of ways, including the creation of trails, parks, plazas, and rooftops, the restoration of wetlands and prairies, and, lately, efforts to reconnect Denver with its river. "
