Proposal For S. Florida Regional Transit Authority
11 May 2001 - 2:00pm

"A proposal to combine all mass transit in Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade counties into one agency may be getting on track after several false starts over the years...The authority eventually could combine bus and rail systems in the three counties and go after federal and state matching dollars or issue bonds, or raise taxes to pay for costly mass transit improvements."
