Smog Lawsuit Settlement Averts Fund Cutoff

A lawsuit by environmentalists that could have cutoff federal transportation funding to the Houston area has been settled.
"The settlement of a smog-related lawsuit has averted a cutoff of federal transportation funds to the Houston area, officials said Wednesday.To settle the lawsuit, the EPA agreed to declare that local transportation plans must adhere to a vehicle pollution limit in the state's latest smog reduction plan for Houston."
