Ten Principles For Reinventing Suburban Strips
9 May 2001 - 8:00am
Commercial strips in America's suburbs can be reinvented through the renovation with mixed-use development.
ULI has just released a publication that highlights the most effective ways to reinvent retail strip development by setting principles that chart a course for future use. The publication, "Ten Principles for Reinventing America's Suburban Strips," resulted from a smart growth solutions workshop charrette, the first in a series of charrettes seeking solutions to specific land use and growth management problems. "Ten Principles for Reinventing Americas Suburban Strips" is available to download from the link below as a PDF (Adobe Portable Document Format) file.
