R.I.P. Julius Shulman

Julius Shulman, famed popularizing mid-century modern architecture through his photographs, died yesterday at the age of 98. In his honor, The Architect's Journal features some of Shulman's photographs and commentary.

‘We're involved in architecture from birth to death. You're born in a hospital most likely designed by an architect. But then when you die: mortuary, designed by an architect. That's the story of architecture.'
