Farmers Market Ordinance

The City of Delano in Kern County, CA is considering adopting an Ordinance for a Farmers Market, and the City would appreciate input from Cities with a Farmers Market Ordinance. The following are questions the City has regarding a Farmers Market Ordinance:
1. Would the process undergo a CUP?
2. What are the conditions and/ requirements for the vendors/producers?
a. Permits?
b. Vendor/Producer responsibility?
3. Would there be fees applied to the vendors or any other applicable fees?
4. What is the requirement/certification for the produce bring sold?
a. Type of produce
5. Responsibility of waste disposal?
