Neighbors Team Up To Build Community Garden
16 June 2009 - 10:00am
Residents in an Oxnard neighborhood install a community garden which will provide them with fruits and vegetables.
Oxnard residents have teamed up to convert an old dirt parking lot into a community garden.
"Located directly across from Cabrillo Economic Development Corp.’s Farmworker Family Apartments on Meta Street, the community garden was organized by the nonprofit developer and the city of Oxnard as part of the nationwide NeighborWorks Week. Communities across the United States are being greened up and beautified by volunteers."
