Electric Reader Board Regulations

Hello,

I am a Planner in the suburbs of Chicago. My community doesn't allow eletric reader boards nor does our board have a desire to. Recently we have been asked to research the legalities of not allowing eletric reader boards in our community. I have posted this item in order to find out if any of you in the profession have been challanged on this topic. If so what was the outcome and what did your community do about it. Also if anybody knows of a court case that specifically addresses this please let me know how I can get the info. Lastly, if anyone knows where I can find information i.e. reports, studies, articles that defend the negative impacts of electric reader boards on a community please let me know. Thanks again for all the help.
