Amtrak's New Drug Subsidies?

Reason Magazine charges that Amtrak can't turn a buck running trains so it enlists in the drug war.

"In addition to its high prices, weak coffee, bad food, and horrible service, here's one more reason to avoid Amtrak: It gives federal drug cops your travel itinerary." Reason Magazine details a pattern and practice by Amtrak of collaborating with federal drug enforcement agencies to create profiles of drug dealers who might be taking trains.
