Pioneer/Wild West Design Regulations

I'm wondering if there are downtown design regulations out there for Pioneer/Wild West style of development. Basically wood-based facades, before brick caught on. Does anyone know of any that I can use for an example?

Western Tourist Towns

I would check with Western Tourist Towns, because they are probably the only ones big/busy enough to have adopted design standards. Ski Towns like Jackson Hole, Steamboat, Crested Butte maybe a good place to start. Also some towns bordering National Parks like West Yellowstone, MT may also worth contacting.

Maybe we should blame Thomas Jefferson. He was the godfather of the urban sprawl racket in America.
