New Jersey Launches Ambitious Open Space Initiative

New Jersey launches one of the nation's most ambitious open space conservation programs.
"A plan to acquire 1 million acres in New Jersey as open space and recreation land got off the ground Wednesday when the Garden State Preservation Trust approved a $138 million funding package, acting Gov. Donald T. DiFrancesco announced.Projects in Bergen, Passaic, Morris, and Sussex counties are included in the package, one of the most ambitious preservation plans in the country."
