Our mission is to advocate, encourage and assist counties, cities and towns in developing "green" and sustainable land use plans, zoning and land development codes. Our clients are addressing energy and climate change issues in their communities beginning with energy policies and plans and following through with ordinance and code amendments.

Code Green-USA, a nonprofit organization based in Tampa Florida, provides services across the country.

Our "Green Audit" reviews land use plans, zoning and land development for unintentional barriers to green development through reviewing how the local zoning or land development code addresses project Location, Design, Green factors, and Energy considerations We identify untapped possibilities and evaluate how these regulations address issues such as wind farms, green roofs, solar easements and distributed generation energy systems.
Alternatives consultation presents new ideas for incentives and innovative approaches found through our on-going research and collaboration with local governments nationwide. Each alternative is reviewed for local application.
Amendment services support local government activities through code drafting and community outreach.

Generally, these three stages are completed sequentially.
