The NCI Charrette System™ Certificate training teaches you how to reduce planning budgets by working efficiently and limiting rework while helping people work together to change and transform their communities for a sustainable future.
March 9-13, is the first of only three opportunities in 2009 to complete both the NCI Charrette System™ Certificate and NCI Charrette Management and Facilitation™ Certificate Trainings. The entire week of hands-on training is based on case studies illustrating applications ranging from sustainable planning to comprehensive and transportation planning. You will learn crucial tools and skills from charrette scheduling through meeting facilitation.
NCI CHARRETTE SYSTEM™ CERTIFICATE TRAINING
This 3-day training illustrates the capability of the NCI Charrette System™ for all aspects of community planning. Participants learn the practical NCI Charrette System™ skills, tools and techniques through new interactive, hands-on exercises practiced on four case study types:
-Sustainable community planning
-Regional/comprehensive planning
-Transportation/infrastructure planning
-Transit oriented development planning
NCI CHARRETTE MANAGEMENT AND FACILITATION™ CERTIFICATE TRAINING
This 1.5-day advanced training will equip charrette managers with the essential tools and techniques required to handle unique, fast paced, and constantly changing, multiple-day charrettes.
Participants learn:
-The essentials of detailed day-to-day charrette management
-The indispensable skills of public meeting planning and facilitation
Earn up to 27 AICP CM credits and AIA CES units for the NCI Charrette System™ Certificate Training and NCI Charrette Management and Facilitation™ Certificate Training.
