A Renewed Focus On Fixing Brownfields

The Brownfields Revitalization and Environmental Restoration Act of 2001, would provide cleanup funds and limit liability for brownfield developers.
"Sixty-two U.S. Senators are pressing President George W. Bush to pass S. 350, the Brownfields Revitalization and Environmental Restoration Act of 2001, introduced by Sen. Lincoln D. Chafee (R-R.I.). This bipartisan legislation would provide cleanup funds and limit liability for potential developers of brownfields. Senators in favor of the legislation include John McCain (R-Ariz.), Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.), and Joseph Leiberman (D-Conn.)."
