A shortage of developable land in California may change how the state grows.
California is not running out of non-urbanized land. "But [California is] running short of land that is not permanently locked up as parks, farmland and species habitat especially around the large coastal metropolitan areas where most Californians live and where, believe it or not, most of our future urban growth is going to occur."
