Houston Approves $630 Million Expansion

A decade in the making, the Houston City Council approves an expansion of the city's convention center and new hotel.
"City officials said the 1,200 new downtown hotel rooms and 2 million-square-foot George R. Brown Convention Center will allow Houston to become a major competitor in the convention industry."
