Planners Toss Home Business Codes

22 March 2001 - 1:00pm

After hours of testimony, an Idaho County Planning Commission tossed out proposed restrictions on home-based businesses.

"After hearing hours of angry testimony, the Kootenai County Planning Commission last night tossed out proposed restrictions on home-based businesses. The restrictions would've prevented any alteration of a home meant solely to foster a home-based business, including adding more utilities. They also called for home business owners to apply for a one-year permit, and agree to inspections by Planning Department staff with or without an appointment."
