Everyday Planning

Scenario at Public Counter:
A customer, whose been drinking since they probably got up and decided to head on into city hall to ask about permits, asks about any required planning permits for a small lawn mower engine repairs business they want to start up. The potential site is in a commerically zoned district. They would need planning permits before a business license is issued.

Planning Question:
Do they need a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for small engines repair business? This question is only brought up since other engine repair, like for motorcycles, does require a CUP. Automotive repair definitely requires a CUP.

Planning Answer:
No, this type of engine work is not considered to fall under "automotive repair" and thus, does not require a CUP. GREEN LIGHT given. . . :::>>>>>>>>>
