Project Planner

The Chazen Companies is actively looking for Project Planner to join our dynamic and growing company. This position will primarily support our municipal planning practice area and occasional support our private land development practice.

Contribute to our excellent reputation for producing high quality work products for integrated environmental, community planning, and natural resources management services. This position requires a firm working knowledge of municipal land use approval processes, SEQRA as well as NYS land use and environmental laws.

A successful candidate will understand the land development process, possess a working knowledge of site design practices and the local/state consultation processes. This position requires someone who can serve our municipal clients in a technical advisory capacity either in our office or on assignment. Experience with public presentations to Municipal Planning Boards and Zoning Board of Appeals a must.

Requirements: BA/BS degree or higher is required in environmental sciences, urban planning, geography, or a closely related field with five (5) of years experience. Excellent writing, organizational, interpersonal, communication, time management, and computer skills are required along with the ability to multi-task and work cooperatively in a team framework.
