JOB TITLE: Rideshare Supervisor
COMPANY INFORMATION:
Ben Franklin Transit (BFT) is a municipal corporation, which provides public transportation in a 588 square mile area located in Benton and Franklin Counties in mild and sunny southeastern Washington State. The population of the service area is approximately 200,000. BFT is funded by voter approved local sales tax and FTA grants. Revenues are used to provide fixed route, ADA paratransit, General Public Demand Response and Vanpool transit services throughout the service area. BFT currently employs approximately 300 employees and has an annual operating budget of $28.5M.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Must possess and model exemplary customer service skills and attitude;
• Must supervise the safe operation of 300 commuter vans and agency carpool activities;
• Manage and monitor revenue productivity and compliance (fares) for each vehicle;
• Monitor accurate submittal of funds to BFT; supervise the collection of missing funds;
• Audit preparation;
• Manage and monitor newsletters, manuals, and agency contracts;
• Manage profit and loss of program;
• Develop and monitor annual operating and capital budgets for rideshare department;
• Day to day contract administrator for contracted transportation services;
• Submit equipment specs and capital planning for purchase of vans;
• Assign tasks, and monitor delivery of customer service; supervise staff;
• Interface with state peers and groups to promote ridesharing;
• Develop parameters of insurance standards for vanpool; and
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a CDL as well as meet other requirements of the job description
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and four years of experience in the programmatic area assigned, including one year of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job, including those listed above.
SALARY STRUCTURE: Salary range is $56,000 - $84,000. Relocation assistance is available.
