Achieving balance between growth and quality of life in Goodyear, AZ.
Leaders with vision. Enlightened developers. Strict design standards. Willingness to abstain from instant-gratification growth. If only we could find these virtues in the Valley.Consider Goodyear. The namesake tire company and blimps are long gone. The cotton fields are going. But the city's eventual legacy may be that it discovered the holy grail that has eluded much of the Valley: balance between growth and quality of life.
