Utah planners look at Maryland's 'Smart Growth' plan.
"Maryland's example is especially helpful for Utah advocates ofcontrolled growth and mass transit. Envision Utah is already doing that, said Todd Leon, the partnership's urban planning coordinator. The planning group is visiting Wasatch Front communities to demonstrate model zoning ordinances and smart-growth design guidelines, which emphasize walkable neighborhoods and transit-oriented development. "
