L.E.D. Strip Lighting

Our department is looking for any information regarding regulations focused on L.E.D. strip lighting. We are currently researching L.E.D. signs, but we have had several new buildings using L.E.D. strip lighting in place of neon. Any type of information whether it be an ordinance, website or general information will be greatly appreciated.

led strip lighting

We only received our first permit request for one of these the other day, it was hidden in a remodel permit for a local pizza hut with a lot of other signage. All LED signs in our city require a conditional use permit. When I told the sign guy this, he decided to contact Pizza Hut and persuade them to drop it. In any event, it would've been one sign too many.
