Planners Urged To Redo Laws

Expert says it is time for New Mexico to reform its planning laws.
"The time is right for New Mexico to reform its antiquatedplanning laws, an out-of-state expert [Patricia E. Salkin, associate dean and director of the Government Law Center at Albany Law School in New York] told planning and local government officials... Salkin said the 'smart growth' movement is bipartisan and is supported bygroups ranging from the Sierra Club to the Home Builders Association."
