Columbus Neighborhood Follows Smart Growth Path

In Columbus, OH, an urban neighborhood takes a "smart growth" approach to draw up redevelopment plans. Residents think the redevelopment will enhance their property.
"In many places, a new development with offices, stores and 700 homes on 43 acres would have neighbors frantic in their opposition. But in Italian Village, residents think the Jeffrey Square development will enhance their property. ...Plans call for the development to match Italian Village's atmosphere and mix of businesses and homes. "
