HUD's New Model Building Code

HUD releases model building code which includes federal accessibility requirements.

"The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has endorsed a new building code document that clarifies the federal Fair Housing Accessibility Guidelines for builders and helps ensure new apartments and condominiums are accessible to people with disabilities, according to the National Association of Home Builders."
