Services pertaining to the alignment & design of a segment of bikeway in an urban area that is part of the Ohio & Erie Canal Nat'l Heritage Corridor.

Notice is hereby given in accordance with a resolution adopted by the Cuyahoga County Planning Commission (CPC) of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, on May 10, 2001, that sealed RFQ responses will be accepted at the office of the Cuyahoga County Planning Commission, 323 Lakeside Avenue, Suite 400, Cleveland, Ohio 44113 until 2:00 PM (local time) on June 13, 2001 for the provision of services required for the following bikeway project:

Towpath Trail Extension: Alignment and Design Study

Engineering, design, and planning services requested under the RFQ will refine the concepts, route alternatives, and most appropriate responses to the issues of public safety, aesthetics, likelihood of use, probable construction cost, opportunity to further goals of community redevelopment, and ability to be implemented.

A copy of the complete RFQ is available from the CPC between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM daily, or call (216) 443-3700. The contact person is Richard Sicha, Principal Planner. Any RFQ received after the closing time will be returned unopened to the respondent.

These practices are also inequitable since they force non-drivers to subsidize parking costs, reduce travel options for non-drivers, and reduce housing affordability.
