Director of Project Development
Under direction, the Director of Project Development manages the Chicago Center for Green Technology including, but not limited to, developing and implementing programs and events, fundraising, supervising staff and volunteers, overseeing care of the facility and periodically updating facility features to keep pace with industry trends. Assists with developing performance measures and program goals and objectives for the Department and meets with management to review and assess progress. Manages program budget and applies for grants. Responds to inquiries and provides information to the public regarding city services and programs. Manages special projects leading towards new environmental technologies to learn from and communicate to the public. Coordinates staff work activities to achieve completion of projects. Successful candidate will be willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as necessary. Performs related duties as required.
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Civil or Environmental Engineering, Business Administration, or a directly related field supplemented by five years of progressively responsible experience in the planning and administration projects, including three years of supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience, provided the minimum degree requirement is met.
Residency Requirement
An employee must be an actual resident of the City of Chicago. Proof of residency will be required at the time of employment.
