Comprehensive/Environmental Planner

Design, Community & Environment, a comprehensive planning, urban design, transportation planning, and landscape architecture firm with offices in Berkeley and Ventura, California is seeking a comprehensive/environmental planner with 1 to 3 years of professional experience.

With a staff of 50, DC&E serves public agencies throughout California. DC&E's comprehensive planning work includes General Plans, California Environmental Quality Act documentation, and community involvement.

Professional or academic experience and a career interest in California General Plan and Housing Element preparation and associated environmental review are required for this position. Position responsibilities include:

• Writing of General Plan, Housing Element, and Environmental Impact Report document sections as directed by management staff
• Policy analysis and development
• Quantitative and statistical analysis for Housing Element preparation
• Production of graphic diagrams for DC&E projects
• GIS analysis and map production
