The Smithsonian Comes To Las Vegas

Smithsonian-sponsored tours of art and architecture have added Las Vegas to the schedule. "Glitz and fakery is art, too."
"We are now recognized as being a part of the important cultural landscape of America," according to a Las Vegas cultural specialist. In addition to the architecture of casinos, tours include music concerts, home studios of local artists, and lectures with a showgirl.
