Chicago city officials' new design scheme for Block 37 includes a 66-story residential tower and a 12-story Marriott hotel.
"City officials and JMB Realty will present a newdesign scheme for 100 N. State to the Chicago PlanCommission on Thursday. The designs by Chicagoarchitecture firm Solomon Cordwell Buenz &Associates show an agreeable-looking, four-storyretail base--anchored by a Lord & Taylorstore--topped by a nicely rendered rooftop gardenthat would be accessed from street level, subway anda renovated pedway."
