Sr. Planner/Transportation

The Town of Leesburg in Virginia (37,000+) is seeking a Senior Planner/Transportation to implement the Town Plan’s transportation policies and action agenda. Responsibilities include drafting Town regulations that result in context sensitive street designs; maintaining the new Town transportation model (CUBE); reviewing development cases for transportation impacts; and representing the Town at regional transportation meetings.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in planning, transportation planning, engineering or related field with at least five years experience in transportation planning; ability to communicate effectively; knowledge of traffic calming, bicycle and pedestrian accommodation; knowledge of transportation modeling techniques.

PREFERRED: Master’s Degree, AICP certification or any equivalent education and experience.

SALARY RANGE: $52,752-$88,542 plus extensive benefits package
