Land Economics -- Senior Associate Consultant
Economic & Planning Systems (EPS) in Berkeley, California is seeking to fill a full-time Senior Associate position. EPS is a private-sector; urban economics consulting firm that specializes in real estate development, market analysis, public/private partnerships, and the financing of government services and public infrastructure. Established in 1983, the Firm has over 60 employees and three locations -- Berkeley and Sacramento, California, and Denver, Colorado.
Senior Associate Consultants work as a member of a team to complete consulting assignments, often serving as project manager. They work with a range of analytical methods and computer models related to real estate feasibility, revitalization / redevelopment, public finance, fiscal and economic impacts, land use policy, and regional economic development. They are evaluated on their ability to plan and execute multiple projects and manage their time accordingly to meet client needs and deadlines. They are able to successfully represent the Firm in client interactions, public presentations, and marketing efforts.
Ideal Senior Associate candidates understand the principles of urban economics and how real estate market forces, public policy, and infrastructure financing interact within EPS's consulting assignments. They possess:
• Masters degree in economics, city and regional planning, public policy, public administration, business administration, or another related field (or bachelor’s degree and substantial work experience)
• 3+ years relevant work experience
• A solid understanding of the real estate development process
• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills to explain the methods and results of analysis
• Project management skills
