Getting A Job In The Planning & Preservation Field

I'm hoping someone out there can give me pointers for my job search as I'm graduating from DePaul University this summer. I'll have a BA in Political Science. I'm going to be applying for graduate school at the School Of The Art Institute, specifically their Preservation and Planning Dept..

I'm also considering the Pratt Institute.

I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. Anyone out there have any tip, tricks, pointers, etc..
