Temporary Position – approx. 6-month assignment. This is a maternity leave replacement position.
START DATE: Beginning of April 08
WORK HOURS: will be at least 8 hours a day
WORK DAYS: Generally Mon thru Fri
SALARY RANGE: $35.00 per hour (Depending upon qualifications salary may be higher.)

Position Description:
Assist MTC in creatively using Geographic Information System (GIS) technology to support numerous MTC projects and initiatives. The GIS Planner/Analyst III will perform the full scope of GIS work, including data manipulation/conversion, complex spatial and statistical analysis, map-making, documentation, technical support, and application development.
Experience:
Two years of recent experience using ESRI GIS software to create and analyze spatial data, create high-quality maps and develop GIS solutions/applications. Experience with Windows computers is essential
·Network routing applications and the ArcGIS 9.x Network Analyst extension
·Dynamic segmentation tools for workstation Arc/Info and/or desktop ArcGIS
·Spatial analysis and the ArcGIS 9.x Spatial Analyst extension
·3D analysis and the ArcGIS 9.x 3D Analyst extension
·Design and implementation of ESRI geodatabases and the maintenance and management of geodatabases in an ArcSDE/Oracle environment
·The design and development of Internet mapping applications using ArcIMS/ArcGIS Server
·Customization of ArcIMS web mapping applications in a Java environment, or other environment
·Customization of ArcGIS using VBA or other programming languages
·Integration of transportation demand modeling applications and GIS
·Tabular data analysis using Microsoft Excel or Structured Query Language (SQL) for Microsoft Access.
