As more and more Americans fly every year, the nation's airports are feeling the pinch.

"Is there anything more maddening than getting stuck at an airport? Yes -- getting stuck at the wrong airport. With flight delays soaring and more people than ever traveling, airports now are a home away from home for millions of American travelers. But after five years of sweeping renovations totaling $35 billion, the gap between the hospitable and the merely serviceable couldn't be greater. Some have become laden with perks that even savvy fliers don't know about -- everything from professional shaves and facial massages to dental care and a full-scale gym. Others still look as dark and gloomy as they did in the 1950s."
