Deserting Growth Limits To Ease Crisis

In response to housing crisis San Jose Mayor hints at abandoning growth controls to promote housing construction.
"San Jose Mayor Ron Gonzales on Thursday raised the possibility ofabandoning growth controls that prevent development in the centralCoyote and south Almaden valleys. And -- to further promotehousing construction -- he signaled he's willing to consider higherdensities, lower traffic standards and spending more on low-incomeapartments elsewhere in the city."
