Amtrak Fast Train Had Successful First Month

Amtrak says high-speed Acela Express train was successful in drawing riders during first month.
"Despite early glitches, the high-speed Acela Express train had a successful first month in drawing riders and operating on time, Amtrak said Thursday. More than 11,000 customers rode the train in the four weeks after it enteredservice Dec. 11. The train's daily roundtrip between Washington and Bostonearned more than $1.25 million in ticket sales, beating projections by 12 percent, Amtrak said. "
