Florida Rethinking Bullet Train

State lawmakers want to re-evaluate the amendment passed by voters to build high-speed rail throughout the state.

"Legislative leaders will consider asking voters in 2002 if they really meant it last November when they approved building a bullet train linking the state's five major metropolitan areas. House and Senate leaders said Wednesday they would consider trying to persuade voters to undo the constitutional amendment they passed in November, unless train proponents can prove it will not be a financial wreck for dozens of other critical state programs."
