Minnesota Governer Jesse Ventura pledges support to smart growth and open-space conservation.
"Gov. Jesse Ventura told a crowd of nearly 500 Thursday that hissupport for ``smart growth'' principles remains strong, and he pledgedto pursue opportunities for open-space conservation, to continueadvocating expanded transit choices and to seek increased financialcommitment for affordable housing. Ventura made his comments at the Growing Smart in Minnesota II conference in downtown St. Paul..."
