Chicago Sun-Times critic comments on the plan to make-over Chicago's famous sports stadium.
Name a Chicago site--let alone a sports stadium--that has left a longer trail of unfulfilled plans, failed proposals and broken promises than Soldier Field.The ultimate Soldier Field make-over comes before state legislators this week. The $578 million redo--which stuffs a new stadium halfway into the confines of the old and surrounds it with parkland--will be the talk of Springfield during the second part of the fall veto session that begins Tuesday."
