Chicago's oldest suburbs face an "unprecedented train-station building boom."
"In the next five years, 19 suburban Metra stations will be built or rehabilitated. Estimated cost: $48.5 million, paid for by Metra, along with federal, state and local governments and, in some cases, developers. That's on top of $57.5 million spent in the past five years to build or rehab 18 stations."
