Preventing Crime With Design

A good building or community design can dramatically reduce the possibility of crime. Detroit offers several examples.
"City planners, architects and others need to adopt a crime prevention mind-set when considering the design of both public and private buildings, said architect Randall Atlas, who has developed a program called 'Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design.'"
