Oregon's Land Use Laws Won't Get 'Big Look'

Funding for an independent review of the state's planning system is slashed, with fingers pointing blame in many directions.
Oregon's much-vaunted "Big Look" at the state's land use planning system has folded after state lawmakers eliminated its funding.
"Some Big Look panelists also questioned whether state leaders were trying to protect the current system...When pressed, the governor's environment advisor blamed legislative leaders...Task force members hope to talk to the governor and lawmakers next month about the review's future."
