Student Housing

Hello,

I have just finshed by graduate work by submitting a thesis entitled: Nuisance Properties: The location and features of problem housing in a University Town. This was a great project that lasted 2 years, working closely with local officials identifiying and looking at the characteristics of "nuisnace properties" in off-campus neighborhoods around the college campus. The findings were expected in some ways and suprising in others. ( executive summary avialble--no time or space here)

However, i feel as though i have barely scrached the surface of this issue. There is so much more to research, for example i only looked at nuisance properties in one university town, will the same methodology work in other university towns, would the results be reproduced, etc.

I have worked with some wonderful faculty at my university but i have been unable to find anyone else outside this group intrested in researching this topic.

Which brings me to the purpose of this post, if you or anyone you know are intrested or connected to this issue please contact me at the following email or foward thier contact info and i will contact them: jsraykes@gmail.com

thanks, jsr

New Suburbanism is not a new design paradigm that seeks to compete with or discredit principles of New Urbanism. Instead, our perspective represents a broad-based attempt to find the best, most practical ways to develop and redevelop suburban communities.
