Pole Sign Ordinances

I work as a Planner for a City that is interested in creating a new ordinance to prohibit new pole signs and phase out existing poles signs over time. I am interested in learning more about communities that have successfully created similar ordinances and the language that they've used in doing so. Does anyone have any examples of such cities? Thanks!
