Las Vegas Takes A Spin

Plans to bring the World's tallest Ferris wheel to the famed strip are being finalized.
"A group of designers and developers plans to erect what is being billing as the world tallest freestanding carnival ride at the southern end of the Las Vegas Strip. In typical Vegas style, the 518-foot tall ride dubbed the Voyager will be anything but your typical Ferris wheel. The wheel will spin at about 1-1/2 mph, and one trip around will take about a half hour." The Ferris wheel, in true Vegas fashion, will include a multitude of features including private restrooms in cars, two-way cameras, and Internet access. Plans are for completion in 2002.
