New Orleans Woos South Florida's Construction Firms

With nearly $17 billion dollars available for reconstruction, New Orleans officials are calling upon south Florida's construction firms to help handle the demand.
"New Orleans to South Florida: Send us your money and your workers.
The message came during a matchmaking forum Thursday to connect South Florida and Louisiana construction companies, held in Coral Gables' Biltmore Hotel.
As condo building in Miami is slowing, the New Orleans market could give the South Florida construction industry a place to go. Presenters and attendees said the demand for commercial and residential buildings in New Orleans is staggering."
